The original records were recorded in the “SUTTERLAND” dialect and translated to French by a gentleman I know of, only as, Andre in Canada when I received them. A niece, in Seoul, Korea, then translated the French to English for me. I went on line to Luxembourg for a couple of words that my niece didn’t translate and are enclosed in parenthesis in the text. The record indicated that he was a (tisserand) weaver, (He and Catherine have six children of which our John Baptiste is the only one known to migrate to the USA. Dominique, Nicolas, Catherine, Marguerite, Marie and Jean.

He migrated to Fredonia, Ozaukee, Wisconsin, USA in 1861. Mathias and Christine have six children, Augusta, Anna, Elizabeth, James, Rosa and Henry.

MARY C. FLEISCHINGER 1901, died 04-29-2003, married to JOHN HELZ Mary is a child of Augusta and Mathias Fleischinger. John was a Detective of the Milwaukee Police Force. I was in contact with Mary in 2002 at the Pesch Reunion in Port Washington. She verified that the family of Mathias Pesch was connected to the family of John Baptiste Pesch. When asked if she knew a Theresa Pesch, she said she was her cousin.
